When I bought my place 10 years ago I knew it was a project. Built in 1965, so it’s as old as I am, with original kitchen, bathrooms, and roof. Roof was the first priority as the plywood was beginning to fail, so that was tear it down to the rafters. Kitchen and master bath were to the studs gut jobs. Did that at this time of year so that I could wash up outside (wearing a bathing suit, because it’s in Reston) while the bathroom was being remodeled. Also moved the laundry into the upstairs walk in closet.
Fortunately it’s a small townhouse. 7 years later I’m still happy with the cabinets.
